What is hair transplant procedure?

In the modern era, food habits and living habits of people have worsened to such an extent that people are unfit, facing many diseases and are facing hair loss these days as almost 7 out of 10 people are dealing with hair issues. The number of these people is quite a bit more in Delhi and so Divine Cosmetics have introduced the best way to get it done. Dr. Amit Gupta is one of the renowned names in the list of Cosmetics Surgeons and he is the name of Divine Cosmetics.
It is a type of surgery which moves the hair from the body part where there is hair called a donor site to fill an area with thin or no hair known as recipient site. Since the 1950s doctors have been doing these transplants in the USA but the techniques of hair transplantation has been improved and changed over the time.
The process starts with the surgeon cleaning one’s scalp and injecting medicine to numb the back of one’s head. After that, the doctor will choose one of the two methods for the transplant either follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) or follicular unit extraction (FUE).
If the process FUSS is carried out than the surgeon removes a 6- to 10-inch strip of skin from the back of one’s head. The doctor sets it aside and sews the scalp to make it close. This area gets hidden by the hair around it. After that, the surgeon’s team divides the strip of removed scalp into 500 to 2000 tiny grafts leading to an individual hair or just a few hairs. The number and type of grafts one gets depend on the hair type, quality of the hair, color, and the size of the area where the hair is getting the transplant.
If the process FUE is carried out than the surgeon’s team will shave the back of one’s scalp. After that process, the doctor will remove hair follicles one by one from the area and which heals with small dots which the existing hair of a person will cover.
After this point, both the above-mentioned procedures are just the same. After doctor prepares the grafts surgeon cleans and numbs the area where the hair transplant will occur. This will create holes or slits with a scalpel or needle and surgeon will delicately plant each graft in one of the holes one by one. Depending on the size of the transplant the process will take about 4 to 8 hours. One might need another hair transplant procedure later on if hair loss is prominent or one decides to have thicker hair than the one transplanted before.
